Today, the First Ever Russian Stage of the Championship “Formula-1” Started at the Olympic Park, on October 10

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and the Governor of the Krasnodar region Alexander Tkachev visited Sochi.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the Head of the region met with the general promoter of the "Formula 1" Bernie Ecclestone, talked with cars pilots and shared their impressions with journalists.

- The "Formula 1" is a post-Olympic heritage, about what we have been saying all these years. And now, 55 thousand people came here from around the world. We did not expect that there will be such an interest to the "Formula 1" in Russia, which – I want to make happy fans – will be held every year in this country in October, – Alexander Tkachev said.

In turn, Dmitry Kozak noted that the "Formula 1" is very popular all over the world, and now it be also popular in our country.

- We attract attention to Russia once again, show its potential and prospects for economic development, – the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Dmitry Kozak also expressed confidence that all the Olympic venues will continue to demand in future. According to him, about a million people visited the Olympic Park this year, and it has become a real tourist mecca.
